Speaker at the Micronutrient Forum 6th Global Conference held in The Hague

From October 16th to 20th, our Partnerships & Innovation Director, Sofia Costa, participated as a panel speaker at the Micronutrient Forum 6th Global Conference held in The Hague. She presented a study titled “Chicken Provision to Increase Access to Animal-Source Foods Among Internally Displaced Persons in Northern Mozambique – an Implementation Research Study” as part of a panel on “Bridging Implementation and Science: Lessons Learned in Designing and Delivering Micronutrient Programs for Impact and Scale.”

The panel addressed key challenges in connecting evidence and action, emphasizing the reasons behind the success or failure of interventions in real-world settings. It highlighted the role of implementation science, focusing on context, fidelity, and outcomes, and emphasized the importance of using context-specific research methods to achieve and measure impact and scale.

Implementation science involves a broad spectrum of methods to identify and address implementation challenges, evaluate and scale up innovations, and enhance the utilization of existing knowledge. At Feeding the Change, our wealth of experience in implementation research is reflected in our contributions to conferences and scientific publications. Explore our paper published in the Journal of Health Communication, where we delve into the implementation of the Emo-Demos behavior change methodology in the Transform Nutrition project.

We recognize the importance of analyzing project implementation to identify constraints, barriers, and success factors, to recommend the necessary adjustments to ensure projects achieve their intended impact. Feel free to contact us if you’re looking to enhance the impact of your projects.
